Sharing is caring
My dear friends and supporters of my Facebook photography page,
Somebody wise (or at least with the great marketing skills ;) ) said “Sharing is sexy” … I don’t know if sharing climbing photography is sexy, however, I want to share a link to a blog of my friend. The boulders and rocks of Ibbenbüren
The last Saturday, July 9th 2011, we spent climbing and photographing in one of our favourite climbing spots: Ibbenbüren, Germany. During our 10h stay Antonio, Davide, and Marta managed to climb some decent routes. This time I wanted to test and experiment a bit with different hanging belay solutions for climbing photography, and finally go deeper into the forest and find some nice boulders which we heard a lot about, however, never really had a chance to climb. After short approach we entered the first climbing area with some 15-20m (45-60 ft.) high walls that offered short but relatively technical climbing. The nice feature of these walls is they are bolted with a decent rappel ring on top. Moreover, they top of each wall can be easily accessed from the back. This allowed me to quickly fix a rope and start documenting the first ascents.
As you can see Antonio and Davide pulled out some nice moves on these short but challenging routes.
